A post about cross stitching, REALLY

Cris’s Tradewinds UFO RR Before:
like the verse
And after (about 5-6 hours)
love the blends

I put in so few hours because I finished Cris’s Once Upon A Time. You remember, the chick with the dove. Anywho, I put in a bunch of time on that one and told Cris to send along the replacement, but I was only going to put in a few hours on it. The best laid plans… If this wasn’t due in the mail Monday & I didn’t have a ton of other things to do (like laundry, vacuuming etc etc) I would’ve done even more. I love this piece. Way back when (2002) I did one of the dolphin blocks from this design for Annette’s TW RR. That was a fun block. No really it was fun.

Which brings me to a Cross Stitching Truth. Round Robins are evil. Because of the Mira RR & this UFO RR I now want:

1. A humugo piece of Violets in the Shade.
2. A humugo piece of Nightshade. (both of these are much nicer in person)
3. A big piece of 25ct. Lugana to start Tradewinds.
4. And my head examined for wanting to start Tradewinds.

Now I’m off to pull the threads of the next round of the Mira RR and if they don’t look like death on Nightshade I’m hoping to get in a few stitches tomorrow.

RR are definitely evil! They’ve caused me to make more than one purchase – plus they are addictive! Once I joined my first, (about 2 1/2 yrs ago) I’ve never not been in one since!

I love Tradewinds. It’s totally worth stitching and yes, it’s fun.
