Friday night my Grandma died suddenly of a heart attack. I hadn’t seen her in over 2 years. She was getting into my Aunt Rosie’s van to drive down to PA from CT. I would’ve seen her Saturday morning.
I can’t make it to the funeral. Andy’s having mid-terms and between his schedule and Winston’s it is just impossible.
So I spend way too much on flowers. So I sent a big beautiful wreath to the funeral home.
I was trying to put together a trip to CT this summer for Grandma’s big 4th of July Party. She and her youngest son cross state lines and buy lots of illegal fireworks and bring them home. She then invites the local police & fire departments to the party along with all the usual suspects. Came in handy the year they set one of the trees in the backyard on fire & the garage too. But this year was going to be Special. She was paying off her mortage in May. Grandma was planning on taping a copy of it to one of the rockets and sending it up. It would’ve been awesome. ‘Cause that was my Grandma; she was awesome. She was one hell of a woman. And I’m really going to miss her.
Oh honey I am so very sorry. My heart hurts for you. Many many hugs.
(Melissa) I’m so sorry for your loss. Your Mother’s Tree is just gorgeous BTW.
I am SO sorry. 😦
You have my most sincere, deepest sympathies. Her memory, goodness and apparent verve for life and fun will live on in her family and friend’s hearts.
You have my deepest condolences. Your grandmother sounds like she was one helluva woman.
Your Mother’s tree is gorgeous, btw. I always loved that pattern, but I could never get beyond my own mother, how magnificent is it that you’ve got your line so far back!
