I spent Saturday at the Harris County Democratic Convention (that’ll be its own post) it was very long but being a Smart Girl I brought along something to stitch:
Sweetheart Tree’s Blue Mountain Bunny stitched on 32ct. Light Mocha Linen with Waterlilies Pistachio Nut. I had the materials in my stash and figured a one color design would be the easiest to stitch as a travel project. I finished everything but the potted flower and bunny at the convention, and if had pushed I would’ve finished the whole thing there. Can you say hurry up and wait?
I also went shopping Tuesday for my Fair & Square Exchange pal. I wanted a couple of things to throw into her package. And these also jumped in my basket for me:
Blackbird’s Sailing Home, which is my first ever by that designer. My lns has a model of it up and it just grabbed me. Lizzie Kate’s Secret Garden which at 75% off I couldn’t pass up. Elizabeth’s Designs Busy Bee kit which has a little quote from Alice in Wonderland on it that I just adore. The Trilogy’s Secret Crush which is also a little kit all I need to supply is thread. LK’s Peace Love and a Cure which again, too cute to pass up. A little insert your own stitching plastic needlebook, who knows what I’ll do with it but it’s got Potential (and it was 50% off too). The last Silk ‘n Colors I need for Misty Morning Vineyard, all I have left to buy for that is 3 more Waterlilies and it’ll finally be 100% kitted. Two more sets of marking pins, love those things. Buttons and thread for my Fair & Square. And last but not least Seafoam Waterlilies (which are 10x as beautiful in person) for Mermaid’s Treasure Box which I am starting to kit. Whew!
