I’m 90% packed and ready to go. I’m so excited I can hardly stand it. 😀
First something I should have done before people started leaving for KY; a picture of me so I’ll be easy to find (as if my loud mouth won’t be a dead give away).
Picture courtesy of Cross Eyed Cat (she took it at a get together back in December) Not my favorite pic, I think I look more than a bit goofy. But then again if you see me at Celebration I’ll likely look goofy there too… Hair’s a touch longer and I like to think I’m about 10lbs lighter.
Second heard from Cathy that the squares I made for her arrived safe and sound.
I took these from BOAF’s A Schoolgirl’s Wish Sampler.
Third, my LHN charity chart arrived from Gigi (quickly too). You can see 3 finished pieces in her October 5th posting. And here’s my WIP:
This is for Annette’s WNRR. This is I think the 4th or 5th chart I’ve bought for Annette’s. I would get them home and they just wouldn’t be quit right. But when I saw this one, I knew it was the winner. Annette’s WNRR is not on all one piece of fabric, she sent an individual square for each stitcher, so I figured a border would be ok.
And last but not least. I have not forgotten about the Mirabilia RR. Debbi & Autumn sadly had their pieces stolen. I called the theif at the beginning of September (oh boy was she surprised) and I did ask nicely that the pieces be returned. I gave her 3 weeks. No RRs. Color me shocked. *sigh* I also didn’t tell Debbi or Autumn at the time because I didn’t want to get their hopes up. Seems it was the right thing to do. Anyway… I had promised both of them that I would cut up the thief’s RR and make smalls out of to split between them. And Monday I went shopping for supplies!
Ok, the triangle ruler and quilt pattern don’t have a thing to do with the finishing, but they followed me home too. I found some beautiful silky fabrics in a rainbow of colors, and trims! I think I went a bit overboard, I spent more on them than I did the fabric. But they were so pretty! I have what I’m going to do fairly well planned out in my head so I’m hoping to whip out the finishing next week.
Please keep your fingers crossed my flight to Louisville is on time, because I’m supposed to get in @ 10:45 and my first class is @ 1pm. I’m going to need all the luck I can get.
