Happy Birthday!

To my husband, Andy. Love you!

(had to give him a shout, he reads the blog ya know)

Now on to regular business, BBP has her hair.

I haven’t touched her yet today. I had a mountain of laundry to do, and since that keeps me upstairs (where the laundry room is) I figured I should get to finishing a bit more finishing.

Did you know Diane from AUS stitched this bit? 😉

Look at that pretty trim. I didn’t photograph as pretty as it is in person. The trim has a blue velvet ribbon woven through it. And yes, all my glass headed pins are white.

Very happy with myself here. I made a scissor pocket (scissor not included, those are my *favorite* Ginghers). I even did a blind hem on that pocket with my sewing machine. Oooooo aaaahhhhhhh. Yeah, I’m impressed too. Of course I covered it up with more of the trim but, it is under there. This is my first bit of finishing with the better fabric, and oh was it wonderful. No holes, no puckering, no slipping. The only bad part, the Ok To Wash It glue ate the nail polish on my right index finger. Left all the other nails alone, but that one…

Too bad, it is a pretty fall color. OPI’s Music Hall Curtain Call.

Can’t have green tips every week you know. The paint isn’t totally gone, I can still wear it, but it is a bit messed up. (this is my left hand btw, and I took it before the paint eating glue mishap)

WOW, BBP is amazing. I had no idea the colors would be so incredible. This one is now a must do. And the scissor case is beyond gorgeous. That trim is such a knockout, and your finishing just gets better and better.

That cake is great! The colors in BBP are amazing–so deep and rich. So much prettier than in the picture on the package (as usual). Love the way you finished that scissor case, too.
