Hand quilting G.B.
So far I’ve quilted all the diagonal lines, the inside of the green border, and made a start on G.B. himself.
A better shot of the quilting I think. Hmmm… I am getting the hang of it. Both working towards and away from myself. My stitches still need work on consistancy, but there have been a couple of times where I’ve thought “Hey, I’m getting this, and I’m not doing too shabby”. I’ll bring him with tomorrow when I stop by the LQS (to get a critique) for more fabric for Snowing Trails:
The top is all pieced but I need more fabric for the inner border. What I originally picked isn’t going to work. For those keeping track at home, I’ve bought the fabric for both borders twice. *sigh* The pattern is so simple that it just flies together and since I’ve had such an easy time of it (so far) I bought fabric to make a second one to give as a gift for my in-laws for Christmas. I’ll be making it in Christmas themed fabric too, so if they don’t like it they have a built in excuse for not having it out when I come to visit. π
I’ve also been transfering some of my zillions of .pdf books over to my Kindle.
and harrassing my son
hehehe, life is good.
Your quilting looks good to me, although I admitedly have zero knowledge/experience on the topic. π
I had to laugh at you harassing your son – its so much fun isn’t it!:)
GB Man looks great! Your stitches look nice and even, too!
I’m surprised at how big the Kindle is! I thought it would be smaller. Seeing it’s size makes me a little more open to the idea. Hmmm… Maybe I’ll eventually cave in afterall and get one.
What little I know about hand quilting says your work is amazing! Really though, I look at the pics and think GB is totally cute, so who cares so much about the “technical” aspects. I know you want to learn the craft, but most people will just adore his total cuteness.
Harassing your son is one of your jobs. It’s on page 25 of the Mom Handbook. Right above telling your daughter she’s dating a lava lamp (pretty to look at; not so bright). I did my job last night.
I think I am most impressed your son is clipping his nails over a garbage can, and not just onto the floor, etc.
If that is all the time and not just for the photo, you are doing a great mothering job!
Cute gingerbread man!
Love the Gingerbread man… and the quilt π
Nice Kindle case π LOL
Good job with the boy, too π
LOL You crack me up.
Tag!! You’ve been tagged for a meme. π
