Angel Bunny

The Easter Fair & Square I stitched for Kathy arrived so I can share it here now.

Both squares are from Full Circle Designs’ Angel Hare Garden. I have owned this chart for at least 3 years and I still love it as much as the day I bought it. Sadly, this is all I’ve ever stitched of it. 😦 Anywho, stitched as charted except I subbed the DMC in place of the silk. Let me take a minute and discuss that bunny’s tail. Anchoring the silk chenille is a total and complete pain in the ass. Really. Huge. Pain. The only way I found to anchor the thread on the back is by couching it down. The effect is worth it, just consider yourself warned.

I do have lots more to talk about, but it’s late and I’ve spent way too much time fooling around on the computer as is. I really need to set up a time lock or something on this machine. I’d get so much more accomplished if it could only be on for a couple hours a day. *sigh*

And a big thank you to everyone for all the nice comments about my hair! You gals are wonderful. Especially since I know the dh is *hating* it.

That bunny tail is SO cute. I was adoring it – and then you ruined it by telling what a pain it is to get it anchored…lol. But pain or not, that hare is adorable. So is the second square.
And what is that with men and long hair? First of all men mostly don’t even notice if you have a different color, or whatever, but most *think* they only like long hair. It’s one of these unexplainable things men ship with. I changed my hair color last week and my husband didn’t even notice it. (to RED!!!)

Thank you again hon for the lovely bunny angel. I just adore it! I bought the fabric yesterday to make it into a pillow. Will post a photo of the finished pillow soon.

  3. I need to kick your DH in the ass. You look HOT! Maybe that’s his problem. He doesn’t want other men to notice your hotness.

Like Gabi, I was admiring the bunny fluff until I read what a PITA it was to stitch. Well, the end result is much cuteness. I like.

So cute! I love it!! I think I have that chart too, but haven’t stitched it either.

  5. Susan says:

What is it about men and long hair? They just go ga-ga…

    That bunny is really cute!

  6. Jill says:

    This bunny is gorgeous!

  7. Daffycat says:

Incredibly darling bunny rabbit! What wonderful squares you stitched!

OMG knock DH upside the head! Your new haircut ROCKS!

  8. Holly says:

Love your bunny and your haircut! DH people don’t realize what a pain it can be to take care of long hair. I agree with Cheryl regarding him feeling threatened by your new hotness.

  9. Melissa C. says:

Cute bunny! Emma suggested I get my hair cut short the other night and my husband, who never says boo about anything, came up out of his chair. Men!

  10. DH says:

I think I know what it takes to take care of long hair

  11. Sara says:

Your bunny is adorable. Your new haircut is awesome though! I too know about taking care long hair and how good it feels to whack it:)
