but not as much I wanted done got done. Sunday I was not in the mood to stitch on ATS. I didn’t even touch it. It’s ok, there’s always next week. I did get a good bit of reading done, Sunday was spent on Turn Coat and I refuse to call that a waste.
Abi’s floss tag still isn’t complete. I know, they only take me 30 minutes or so to put together but I couldn’t manage that. There were also logistical issues – those will be fixed tomorrow and the tag will get finished. I did get all the fussy prep work for it done, so it did get a bit closer to completion.
I managed to iron transfer some embroidery patterns onto tea towels that I promised to do for my Mom – last month. I would like to think of myself as the tortoise that eventually wins the race.
Mom already did Sunday – but I only have 4 towels on hand. Friday & Saturday are just going to have to wait. These guys will keep her occupied for a bit.
I also promised myself a new start. AFTER the floss tag is finished and Shannon’s WNRR. If I’m a good girl and get that tag finished early tomorrow I can start my new project… Chatelaine’s Caribbean (I still need some of the threads but that’s a rant for another day, I’m only missing one color for Part 1).
Oh yeah, Shannon’s WNRR:
I stitched Brightneedle’s Christmas Eve. I love this little block so much that I’m going to stitch it again for my DogPatch WNRR. I had to change one of the Anchor flosses to something completely different because the DMC conversion was horrible and I also subbed DMC for the two over-dyes that were called for.
The whole of Shannon’s, one more rotation and it’ll be going home to her.
Oh and I nearly forgot, I did pull OTR out for a little bit today. I only managed a half hour on it at Starbucks this morning, but something is better than nothing. And I can say all the buildings in panel 1 are now complete.
Tomorrow:
Sew floss tag
Go to post office
Laundry
Straighten up the house
And start Caribbean!!!!!!!!
The WNRR looks great. I’m always so impressed how these come out.
I think the WNRR is looking fab too. š Hope you’ll post some finished pictures of the tea towels too – I’m a little intrigued. š
What? No OTR pic? I like the block you stitched for the WNRR. It would make a great ornie. You are waiting for fibers, too? Wonder if it’s the same vendor I’m waiting not-so-patiently to send me fibers for Hanging Gardens? Hm.
Thouse tea towels are gonna be darling! Love the RR…is the reindeer finished just half way or are you going to complete him? Looks a bit odd.
Any way you could do my laundry tomorrow while you’re at it???
I love the block you stitched and the whole piece is awesome.
Getting stitching on that ATS, lol I need to get inspired as I am so close to finishing
Shannon’s RR looks wonderful. I love your addition to it. It’s so nice with the little dog looking up at Santa’s sledge.
Those towels are adorable! Tell me where you found the patterns for them. The RR is turning out wonderfully, I love what you chose to stitch for her!
