Night is falling…

in block 6. Finally.

This is what 7 & 1/2 lengths of black looks like (that’s single strands, odd number because I loop start). I’m hoping to put in 6 strands every other day or so until it’s complete. Hopefully that’ll be before the end of June or I’ll have to up my pace.

I also finished up the southern section on part 2 of Caribbean.

And I went in and fixed the wonky bead in the north section and added the backstitching that I forgot in the eastern section.

Ooo…. ahhhh…. the turquoisey blue silk (bottom most Jessica and some of the stitches radiating off of it) is maybe my favorite color in this part. Or maybe the Velvet Night Sky is my favorite. I’m also kinda partial to that yellow when I think about it.

And those little white gaps are from a silk that is still (possibly forever at this point it seems) back ordered.

I would have thought you’d get the black fill done this month OK – you’ve done the worst bit at the top (in terms of the row length). The rest looks like it will finish up reasonably fast. CE looks gorgeous, such pretty colours!

Oh I love your Chatelaine! I have one for someday.

  4. Damn, you’ve been busy and productive whilst I’ve been away playing! I am some kind of impressed! Oh, and WTG for Winston on 3rd chair!

Caribbean is just gorgeous! Can’t wait to see some flamingoes. That’s probably going to be the determining factor in whether I buy this one while the group is still going or wait for it to be released later.

    they both look great.

Your progress on these two is fabulous! I love that Caribbean Chatelaine. I think that will be my reward for finishing nursing school next year. I don’t dare buy it now.

I didn’t realize the block was to be filled in with all black! No wonder you are giving yourself to the end of the month. I still think you’ll finish with plenty of time though! Caribbean is so stunning!

I think that you’ve got a great idea for the way you’re filling in that sky! That part truly scares me (or it will when I get to it). Carribean looks wonderful – I’ve seen a WIP in person, and those colors are beautiful!

What color is back ordered? Maybe one of us loyal readers might have it!
