We have a verse (dark pictures and all):
So far so good. I’ll know better how happy I am with it when I get the right hand vine stitched in and fill in the empty space with motifs. The odd capitalization is deliberate. I like capitalizing some words to give them added importance. Which I know I sometimes do in the blog, just a quirk. But it’s very me, and that’s what this sampler is turning out to be.
God’s the only one I got fancy with this time. I considered making each upper case letter up with speciality stitches, but I’m glad I only did it with God. I think it gives the word much more impact.
The uppercase letters came from Roeswood Manor’s Family Reunion (such a great chart, 1. her models are to die for 2. it is a Useful Chart) and the lowers from Creative Sampler Embroidery by Caroline Vincent.
Next week I’m going to spend most of my time on my Mirabilia RR, it’s due to mail the 15th and I really need to get it ready to go.
I also want to say a big thank you to everyone out there who reads & comments on my blog. I just hit 100 subscribers on Google Reader! 😀
P.S. I did credit it the first time I talked about it, but it bears repeating: The verse is from Jennifer Crusie’s Faking It.
