A post in which…

I whine much, but there will be a payoff at the end.

I am ill. (oh quiet, it’s not the obvious) It’s bronchitis. It is *not fair* I wasn’t even sick. No cold, no allergies. I felt fine. Then I started coughing and it’s all gone downhill from there. I went to the doc yesterday and he gave me some antibiotics. Hopefully they’ll work but who knows, it could be viral or it could be bacterial. I do know that they put a horrible taste in my mouth, it’s like sucking one a bitter dirty nail.

Because of all this I didn’t stitch yesterday at all. Or really do much of anything. And today isn’t looking much better. I did start Live Simply from the Primitive Needle, but dealing with photos is too much effort right now.

Alright, that’s enough for the time being. I did manage a bit of happy. Michelle is a sweetheart! I had loaned her a book and she sent it back, which makes her a totally awesome person. And she also gifted me with… Mediterranean Mermaid. See what I get for being a Bad Girl? lol I did ask Michelle and she agreed that I can give it away to a lucky stitcher out there who hasn’t run out and bought it yet.

So if you want to be entered in the drawing say “Thanks Michelle!” down in the comments and sometime soon I’ll pick a winner. (and I promise not to cough on the chart)

Bronchitis! Oh my…I hope you get better soon. You’re the third person to say they have bronchitis…in July!

That was so nice of Michelle to gift you Mediterranean Mermaid. Thanks Michelle! I would love a chance at the chart.

    Missy…get lots of rest!

  2. Feel better, sweetie! I’d tell you to have a nice cocktail to numb the pain, but I don’t think aantibiotics and cocktails play well together. When I was at the pharmacy today, I heard the pharmacist talking to another customer about how many people with bronchitis he’s filled scripts for (a lot for summertime). Weird.

You know I’m not into mermaids, so I’ll let someone else have the joy. I just hope you feel up to some stitching soon. I feel like OTR would be a really soothing stitch right now…. don’t throw things at me! Hahaha.

  3. Christine S says:

I hope that you’re feeling better soon, Missy!! Get lots of rest and here’s hoping the antibiotics do the trick.

That was really nice of your friend to send you that chart! I’d love to be entered into the draw. Thanks Michelle!

  4. Jill in CA says:

    Hope you’re feeling better soon!

Ooh, would love to be entered in your drawing. I wasn’t sold on the pattern until I saw your gorgeous wip pic and now it’s a must have!

  5. Jennifer H says:

I’m sorry you don’t feel good and I hope the yucky feeling goes away soon. Hopefully the doc gave you good drugs!

BTW, your MM looks lovely! The fabric is amazing! This is on my wish list so, “Thanks Michelle” for sending a second copy!

  6. quietgirl255-Pamela says:

Thanks Michelle. That was a very nice thing to do! (MM is on my list of charts I would like to buy….but I am trying to be good right now)

Missy- I hope you feel better soon. I am such a cranky crybaby when I am even slightly sick, I can’t imagine even posting anything. Or even getting out of bed. Being sick in the summer is even worse.

  7. Daffycat says:

Awww, poor baby! Bronchitis isn’t fun at all…especially if it turns into pneumonia so you take your medicine, hear?

  8. Melissa says:

Feel better! Drink lots of water and chew gum..lol. ๐Ÿ™‚

  9. beritbunny says:

    Thanks Michelle!

Stitchers really are the most generous people!

  10. beritbunny says:

Oh, and that Bronchitis-when-you-weren’t-sick was me yesterday.
As for the antibiotic, I had it double when I got a bad reaction from that. Who gets a reaction from that–my first time. Ugh!

    Feel better soon!

  11. Melissa C. says:

Oh, oh, pick me. I want my very own Jugs.

    Thanks, Michelle!

    (Feel better soon!)

  12. Reba says:

I sure hope you feel better soon! And get back to stitching…I use you and a few other ladies for inspiration!! So see…you *can’t* be sick! I NEEEEEEED you!

Seriously speaking, your MM progress is stunning! Just lovely!

    Also, Thanks Michelle.

  15. Silverlotus says:

Bronchitis isn’t nice at all. I hope you are taking it easy.

Your WIP picture of MM is great. Even my husband likes it. (And that is amazing!) So, please add me to the draw: “Thanks Michelle!” (And thanks Missy!)

  16. Lori says:

Sorry you are not feeling well! You must be on Biaxin (think I spelled that right). It does leave a yukky taste, but works really good on bronchitis. Try sucking on lemon drops!

  17. Lori says:

    Oops! Forgot to say…Thanks Michelle!

  18. Melinda (mgrutz1998) says:

    Hope your feeling better soon!
Please add me to the list.

I hope you feel better soon too. I’m disappointed that we aren’t going to get to hear a spanking story now LOL Kidding ๐Ÿ™‚ I have decided I do need that chart and since I haven’t ordered it I’m going to have to say “Thanks Michelle”!!

  23. Debbie says:

Hope you’re on the mend soon. My DD had the same thing – no cold, nothing – just a real bark of a cough. And since I haven’t ordered the chart, “Thanks Michelle!!

  24. ~Connie~ says:

I so hope that you feel better soon as with everyone else.

Hope you’re feeling better soon Missy. I’m lovin’ your progress on Eudora & am anxious to see more!
Thanks to you for this offer & “Thanks Michelle”
    Cheers
    Maureen

  26. Stacy B says:

    Thanks Michelle!!!

That’s too funny about the chart. But I think that is so nice of you to do a giveaway. I do hope you’re feeling better soon though. It’s no fun to be sick. Try to do a little stitching if you can. It might make you feel better. (((hugs)))

  27. Sara says:

Don’t need the chart but wanted to stop by and say I hope you feel better soon. I’m suffering right along with you, a sinus infection for a week but I’ve finally got drugs to make it go away so hopefully we’ll both be feeling better soon!

  28. Sonda in OR says:

Hope you feel better soon! Your mermaid is awesome!

  29. Melissa says:

Hope you’re feeling better and I’m starting Live Simply tomorrow. I’m a day or two late but got caught up in a book. City of Bones – Cassandra Clare. I borrowed my friend’s son’s Sony eBook(the library never seemed to get in the first book in this series) he had it on his eBook so I read it all day yesterday and most of today.

I’m so getting a Kindle. I told the spousal unit it’s a necessity. He said anything to cut down on the books in the house and the garage, stacked up on the floor. So maybe for my anniversary in Sept or birthday in October. I’m hoping he does me a prop!

    Isn’t that Michelle sweet?
