Mediterranean Mermaid Revisited

I finished my Summer House exchange for HOE last night, well finished stitching it. I still need to finish the finishing… and since I can’t share pictures of that yet I decided to go back and add some of the detail shots of Eudora.

The whole:

Pretty yes, but a lot of the beading got lost in this picture.

In this shot you can see the beading much better and some of the sparkle in the crystals in her jewelry.

Her tail is all Kreniks. The tail fin and hip fins do have some dmc, but the part that would be legs on you or me, all braid & beads. Super sparkle!

Do you see all those bead in the tail fin?! I think it’s 50/50 stitching and beads. All beads were attached with two strands Sulky invisible thread using a full cross stitch.

That’s it for today. I’m supposed to be starting demolition on my son’s bathroom so we can do a mini-remodel, but I’m still so exhausted. I’ve been sleeping at night 10-12 hours and then napping in the day another hour or two. *sigh* I am getting better, it’s just taking FOREVER. Next up I suppose I’ll start stitching on HoHRH because lord knows block 7 isn’t going to stitch itself…

Well, take care of yourself Missy! We all deserve to rest sometimes and illnesses in the summer just seem to take much longer to clear up! Your Mermaid is looking wonderful. There certainly is a lot of bling going with this design! I think it’s beautiful. I have a funny feeling that I may be doing this one for my sister.
