Drawing a blank for the title

Houses for July is done!

A fun block except for a freakin’ dye shift in my Ecru (dmc) thread. I had to pull out and re-stitch the two smallest hills. I also made mistakes in 2 out of 3 of the flowered hills, but seriously no one will ever notice. This was a very fast block, it took me what 3 days to stitch? Really good time for a HoHRH block.

Past the half way point, it’s all down hill from here right?

In other stitching news after some thinking – realistic thinking. (a true rarity around here) I simply have to put everything else on the back burner if I’m going to get OTR done by September (or at the worst during September). I’ve decided that I’m going to spend at least 1 hour per day on cutting/piecing and dedicate as much of my regular stitchingย  time to the embroidery panels as I can stomach. I will keep up with HoHRH and occasionally another project I’m sure will pop up just to keep my sanity. But I’m going to be making a dedicated effect towards the completion of OTR.

Slowly, I still am recovering. I’m hoping that by next week I will be able to go back to Curves/gym and begin getting my cardio back. And 10lbs off. My husband is also convinced that a brown recluse spider has bitten me and that the flesh shall begin falling from my head shortly. It only bugs me if I poke at it, and following the soundest medical advice out there – I have quit poking at it.

Re: The Black Dagger Brotherhood, I refuse to make an uniformed decision. I would have to er… sample each brother before I would be able to choose. And then well, being a child of the 80’s and the “Greed Is Good” motto being impressed on my psyche… I’ll be taking at least two of ’em for my own. ๐Ÿ˜‰

Great finish on block #7! It looks great! Good to hear you are feeling better. Best of luck on the goal for OTR! Can’t wait to see more!

  2. Missy, Great looking block finish! I’m soooo far back on my HOHR that I don’t dare even show it! It’s one of my WIPs that I long to dig out one day…. ๐Ÿ˜
I’ve loved visiting your blog! Hugs, Deb

So this wait is all your fault, I see how it is now:)

Your block looks great! Good luck with OTR, every time I set out to finish something my stitcher’s ADHD kicks in and something else calls loudly.

Please do keep an eye on the spider bite even if you aren’t poking it. I get lots of people at my pharmacy counter who wait until flesh is near falling off to come see me and demand I suggest something to fix it now when they should have visited the doc and gotten real drugs long ago. Don’t wait if it gets to looking infected, I promise I can’t put your ear back on!

Wow that is great progress on HOHRH – I like that block. Glad to hear you are feeling better and your spider bite is settling down. Take care of yourself.

Maybe you will soon start having the power to spin a web, any size, and catch thieves just like flies…look out! Here somes the spiderwoman!

  6. Margie says:

Wow! Three days, it’s looking good.

  7. I am so not going to complain about you giving OTR the bulk of your stitching love! ๐Ÿ˜€ Just post pics, please. Yes, I know you sent me some, but I am a greedy bitch. Glad you are on the mend, but do listen to Sara about the bite. Thoughts of web-spinning and great vamp sex aside, we don’t want anything bad to happen to you! Maybe one or two of the BDBs will come visit – you know, just to check your blood for contaminates. ๐Ÿ˜‰

Oh, did I tell you that HoHRH is looking quite fabulous? Well, it is!

Wow, a whole block in three days – not bad. It looks great.
