Oh wait, I just used that didn’t I? Eh, who cares? I am full of woo-hoo today. Part Two of Caribbean is 100% complete. (thanks again to Cheryl for gifting me the final 2 silks)

I am so freakin’ happy to see the end of those *!$#@ brick rhodes stitches. I’m going to pull my threads for part 3 and maybe even start it tonight. (I pull my threads by section as I work on a Chat and keep the rest of the kit in storage, it keeps the mayhem to a minimum.) And yes Sara, that means the first flamingos will be making their entrance.

Yeah I know I’m supposed to be working on OTR. I am a slacker. But at least I am a self-aware slacker. I did make progress, I’m starting on the horsey now.

Since I always do this to myself I have decided to embrace it, I’m just going to have to spend some panicked days in August doing all the cutting and sewing for the top. And the 3rd panel of embroidery too. But compared to the first two, #3 will be cake.

Wish me luck tomorrow (meaning all the other bidders hate furniture), I’m going to an auction with dh and I’m hoping to get a curio cabinet for my living room. Go ahead and send cheap vibes if you want, but I’m so cheap to begin with that I won’t believe they worked unless I walk out of there paying $20 for it.

  1. Always happy to help in the cause of beautiful stitching! Caribbean is amazing, and I am anxiously awaiting the arrival of the flamingos. 😀 And, the OTR pic makes my heart go pitty-pat.

  2. Way to go, Missy! it looks beautiful and I cant’ wait to see the pink flamingos! Good luck at the auction – I love going to them. Just don’t tip your hat too early. I don’t know what the best method for bidding is but I’m a swooper – come in at the last second! sending good, cheap, vibes!

🙂 I am anxiously awaiting flamingo pics and they better be nice, closeup ones too! I’m counting on you to keep me satisfied with pretty pics until I cave and buy (and start immediately, hence the reason for not purchasing right now) this one. Watergarden won’t start or finish itself and that one is positively screaming that it wants to hang on my bathroom wall.

Lots of cheap vibes headed your way!! And feel free to woo-hoo all you want, it is Friday after all.

Had to laugh about cheap bidding. I just knew I was going to go to a house auction back in January and get a house for $1000. It was a small house, OK…..but no, it ended up going for $45,000, would have only went for $30,000 had they not held the auction for some guy that got lost. I just knew I was meant to have that house. Was totally bummed when people showed up actually bidding. LOL
