Buried Alive

For kicks I decided to pull out the WIPs and see what there is to see. Please note, 1 partial cut quilt, and Gingerbread Boy with his nearly done binding are missing from the pictures. And of course my Caribbean, since it hasn’t changed and I’ve OD’d you all on pictures I’ll skip it this post.

Today I cut 95% of OTR:

I have two borders, the binding & the backing left to cut. Binding & backing I won’t even have to think about until the quilting is completed. And of course I have to finish embroidering panel 2, trace and embroider panel 3 and trim all 3 panels. Plus all the assembly. Done by the end of the month! *snort*

Here’s the start on Voodoo Boy, and it wins the prize for worst picture I’ve taken all year.

The threads do glow in the dark. We turned out the lights in the living room last night to check.

My pitiful start on HoHRH block 8.

Finish by the end of the month! *snort*

Now from the closet and WIP drawers:

I’ll finish it one of these years.

Zelda’s Hat, finish by the end of September. *snort*

Salem Sisters, by the end of October? *maybe*

This MiraRR mails September 14th. I’ll be stitching one of the Deep Blue gals on it before then. Hopefully I won’t forget the mailing date and have it sitting in my house done & unmailed like last round.

Hey! Long time no see ATS! Maybe I’ll find a few hours for you… next month. But I think you’ll need to have that Angel chase Shakespeare’s Fairies off the floor stand.

Misty Morning Vineyard. See I told you I have TWO Chatelaine wips. I honestly cannot remember the last time I worked on this. Depressing. I love it, but never seem to make the time for it.

Live Simply. Is it ironic that this is at the bottom of all these wips?

Pile O’ Samplers:

Burying me alive:

Obviously I wouldn’t have it any other way. Maybe later I’ll share the shame of all my completed things that are just packed away unfinished/unframed.

Great wips Missy. Wow…at least you have lots of options as to what to work on. You’ll never be bored! I do think it’s funny that the first thing that popped out at me from your “pile o’ samplers” photo was Adam and Eve’s nether-regions! lol That must mean I have a dirty mind. Oh, brother…never mind!

  2. Kathy A says:

Well, now maybe the girls at stitching will leave me alone about my Big A**** bag I carry around. You put mine to shame. Thanks hon – I will just refer them to your blog from now on ROFLMAO

I noticed what Valerie noticed. I must be a dirty old woman, and I’m so proud.

Sorry, but I don’t see a pitiful start on HoHRH. It’s more than half done!

WIPs … pleasure or pain? A little of both, I think.

di here (hiding my head in shame, admitting that I saw what Valerie and Doris saw). 🙂 Man you’ve got some beautiful stitching in progress Missy. ATS, Zelda’s Hat and HoHRH to name a few… just gorgeous. I was looking at ALL of my WIPs just the other day. Yep, I looked right at them. 😉 BTW, I noticed you’ve got Finger Lickin’ Fifteen on your book list and I just finished reading it. (Love Evanovich and esp. this series!)

I was just innocently typing my answer about that I don’t see a problem with your wip’s…lol…when I read the answers and scrolled up to the pictures with the piles. Quite a while later my laughter calmed down enough to enable me to type again. That picture is PRICELESS.
Btw, all your wip’s look great and there is nothing wrong with having couple of them plus some more. 😉

  6. Andie says:

Love them 😀 Could be scary if I pulled all mine out and did that….

ATS cracks me up everytime I see Adam.

Oh and as to your post above, throw it, you will feel better….. trip down the stairs with it 😀

  7. Daffycat says:

    Great collection of WIPs, Missy!

Save MMV and we will do a SAL one day. I have it in my stash but it’s not kitted yet.

  8. Annette says:

You could not pay me enough to show all my WIPs….. I’ve got a few more!

    Still love the hat 😀

  9. Melissa says:

There is absolutely nothing wrong with having a lot of WIP. One day, you’ll want to stitch something and wow, you are half way through the project already. You haven’t seen it in so long it’s practically like a new start only with a good bit of stitching already completed. So UFOs, extra large stitching piles, they do serve their purpose.

Ok, thoughts like this are what get me through and keep me from being overwhelmed when I absolutely have to start everything right now.

You’re an amateur with your number of WIPs in my book if that makes you feel any better. And maybe if you hold off on the Chatelaine, we can SAL one day! I have so little of it done it’s not funny. Seriously though your WIPs are gorgeous and I’m looking forward to seeing Shakepeare’s Fairies coming along! Also, good luck with your machine… and your rotary cutter issues may be a faulty rotary cutter. The ergonomic ones are real hard on blade wear and tear if that’s what you have.
