You ugly! When stitching on ugly projects I find it helpful to drink co-ordinating adult beverages.
And all finished, well except for the finishing.
Andy agrees, this thing has a serious case of the uglies. I kept telling myself, it’s a Voodoo Doll, it’s not supposed to be cute. But I’m not convinced it should be this ugly either. All bits but the black are 1 strand of #4 glow in the dark in various colors from Krenik. The day after I started this I saw the fluorescent shades of DMC at Michaels, and I think this would look much better done in those. And DMC also has a glow in the dark white. And if you used the DMC (with a coupon from Michaels) you could stitch this cheaper than the Krenik, with what I think will be a better result. Ah well what’s done is done.
As to the last post; thank you everyone for your commiseration and suggestions. The machine went to the shop Thursday and the manager did treat it as a real problem that it was 1. back so soon and 2. back for the same problem. Their mechanic/repairman wasn’t due back to that shop (they have two locations) until today and I’m waiting on an update now. But yeah, I seriously doubt Viking will ever see any more money from me.
In other stitching news I’m signed up for the HOE & Fair and Square Halloween exchanges! I lurv!!!! Halloween. I’ve picked out my F&S pattern, that’s the easier to pick strangley enough because it has more limitations. As to HOE… I’m trying not to loose my mind and go completely overboard but I have so many cute ideas.
I suppose I’ll get to work on HoHRH… there’s just 8 days left in August. Eek!
