(except the whole nearly getting t-boned in downtown Houston thing)
Annette & her mom Pat came to town for the International Quilt Festival this weekend and we spent today on the floor shopping our poor feet off.
Like a fool I forgot to take at least one picture of us all together (but I will tomorrow), in fact I didn’t use my camera at all today. In my defense there is so much to see and it is on the crowded side… Anyway here’s what came home with me today (minus a couple little bits that are going to appear in the 13 Days giveaway).
Books? Those were a wonderful surprise from Annette! The rest is my doing. Garden of Eerie, the two copies the Silver Needle had left with us. 3 little bunnies cut from an old quilt. 6 packs of various needles of Bohin & of course another wonderful pair of Bohin embroidery scissors (and I already picked out the pair I’m buying next year). 7 fat quarters of fabric, 6 of which were on my shopping list. I needed a few to go with my Darla fabric. And a package of fork pins that are also needed for the Darla quilt.
Whew… I am wiped out! Thankfully not $ wise. I was so good, I only spent approx 1/2 of my budget. 😀 Never fear the other 1/2 will be spent tomorrow. lol
Oh, I am so jealous!! This sounds like wonderful fun. Oh how lucky to get the new Gabaldon book. I have it in my bag to read on the way to Arizona.
Enjoy tomorrow.
Oooo, awesome stash! Half your budget? Git a credit card, sister! LOL JK
Houston traffic SUCKS!
What fun stash you got! I’m off now (at 4:30 in the morning – can’t sleep) to look up those scissors.
Have fun today and have fun spending the other 1/2 of your budget! 🙂
I *need* a scissor close up, please. Quite a lovely haul. Looking forward to the next pic! Oh, and DH says I should go to at least one crafting show of my choice in 2010.
Oooohhh, I hadn’t seen that Plum St. one before!
Great stashing and lucky you to get to hangout with Annette. One of these years I’m going to make it to the Houston Quilt Festival. It always looks like so much fun.
