A while back I won a little giveaway on Mr. X-Stitch. The prize was a small stitched piece from Miso Funky, my pick. Today it arrived!

Ah the tender mercies of international shipping. I thought the Fragile sticker was a nice touch.

Ha ha! Thwarted by bubble wrap. πŸ˜€ My little framed verse (what can I say it appeals to my horrid sense of humor, it’s sitting above the TV right now), some pins and a pair of post cards.

I did stitch today, I laid in the border for house 10 on HoHRH. Yes, I’m behind. Yes I’ll get caught up.

And I came close to cutting fabric for my first block of my Sampler 101 Quilt. But I had a panic attach, I need 6 fabrics light to dark for a rail fence. Opinions?

LOL That piece is perfect for you, Missy.

Not too sure I’m feeling the “darkest” in that bunch; would have to see/know the pattern, I fear.

Good job on the win! You deserve it after “13 days”(Which was absolutely the most fun thing).

Hey, glad you like it! It took a while to get it off to you, sorry! That fragile sticker was totally futile judging by box but glad it was OK πŸ™‚

Ouch. I won the Manga book from Mr. X-Stitch, and it came nice and safe, except my postal delivery guy didn’t ring our bell, he just left a card and took it to the post office. Argh.

I think those fabrics are really pretty. They look like something I would pick, except I would go with blue. πŸ™‚

I think the sampler is the greatest! Perhaps I have a warped sense of humor too! Good thing it made it’s way safely to you. And I’m loving those fabrics, but I’m not sure about the whole light to dark thing. Perhaps if the fourth one down was a complete striped fabric – hmmm, what am I talking about. I guess I’d have to see the pattern too. Lots of help, right?

Fragile….isn’t great when words mean something. LOL…

Wonderful price. I’m twisted enough to appreciate the stitched piece. My family thinks I’m warped and twisted and do not on any level get my plans for a tombstone wall.

The spousal unit is not impressed with my plans to embroider Badbird’s Dogfaced girl. I am surrounded by people with no imagination and who have a deep appreciatiion for the art at Target. How did this happen?

  7. Abi says:

LOL! I love it! I really shouldn’t show it to DH. He’ll want one for work to keep all the Subversive Cross Stitch pieces company.

  8. Annette says:

    Love the sampler! LOL

The stripey and gingham fabric look out of place to me in your pile, but if you like it, then go for it.

  9. Michelle says:

Love your framed piece – what fun. And on your fabrics, I think you’ve got some great lights and medium tones, but you need more in the darker range. I’m reading the gingham as a medium, btw. Just a thought! It’s hard to do. I spent hours at the quilt store agonizing over a light medium and dark red for our wedding quilt. That was hard!!!

Lovely price. Suits pretty well too…lol
Love your fabrics too. Looking forward to see more of that quilt. I wouldn’t mind to follow a quilting class too…but not right now.
Edit to add: Thank god I learned my lessons and ALWAYS copy my comment before posting. Because half of the time thatmath thingy doesn’t work. And if 9+1 is anything else then 10, please enlighten me. Must be something missy-devilish doing that…lol
