Pirate Quilt. I know I’ll see you again – but we are at quits you & I.
I finished the binding last night while watching Star Trek (the new one – fun!) and this morning I made the co-ordinating pillow case. No the quilt isn’t bed size – but that doesn’t mean it can’t have a pillow case.
For anyone wondering you can find how to make your own pillow cases here. Now I just zig zagged my raw edges instead of doing all ttha quality workmanship french seam crap. Please, remember who you’re dealing with here.
On to the glamour shots. Or what should be glamour shots – instead you’ll be treated to more of my “photography”.
Finished size 42 x 57 inches. Binding was black Kona cotton used throughout.
Still loving the treasure map fabric.
Close up quilting on the front.
Oh look! It’s the same on the back. lol It shows very well on the black. The thread color is a non-metallic gold. And yes the quilting was machine done by a professional who is very much not me. 😉 I’ll get it all washed and dried this week sometime and wrap it up for under the tree – which has yet to go up.
It’s fantastic. Megan has asked me to make her a fleece tied blanket – that’s the extent of my blanket-making skills. lol
Looks great! I’m sure Win will love it!
Its truly awesome! I love the treasure map fabric, too. Great job!

I love the pirate quilt! The treasure map backing fabric is perfect, I’m sure your son will love it.
That quilt came out fantastic. And I agree with you, you do need a pillow case. When Pokemon was the rage and my son small, I made him a Pokemon quilt with matching pillowcase. It’s now in his memory box.
It looks great! YGG. 🙂
Love love love the pirate quilt – how fun. It really turned out fabulous, and the pillowcase is a great “extra”. Perfect for naptime – quilt and a pillow!
