Reading more than stitching

Which means I don’t have much to blog about. But I finally do have a little something. I finished my latest Mirabilia RR piece & my replacement Fair & Square arrived!

Thank you Janice! Aren’t they cute? They’re even better in person. πŸ˜€

Deb’s Mirabilia RR

I stitched the two small squares on the bottom right.

I had talked to Deb last month and she said she wanted one of the little seadragons from Bluebeard’s Princess, and there he is! And I wanted to stitch the dove from Queen of Peace, so there she is!

Tomorrow I’m heading back to the local quilt group where I started on the Witch block for my Baltimore Halloween. I’m taking the Hats & Cats block that I have prepped but unstarted. Hopefully the group will light another fire under me and I’ll have another block to show off soon.

It’s perfectly fine to take a stitching/crafting break and focus on reading for a while. Ask me how I know. The RR stitching is beautiful. Cute square.

I’ll be watching for more quilt pics….

  2. Annette says:

Love those squares…(both the F&S ones and the Miras).

Deb’s RR is going to be interesting. All the others I knew almost immediately what I wanted to do. Inspiration has not struck yet!!

    What a pretty RR!

As for the F&S, It has a fox, which equals win.

  4. Debbie says:

Love those two squares, and your addition to the RR! Sometimes we’re just in the mood to do other things than stitch! But what you’ve done looks great!

  5. Valerie says:

It’s always nice to take a break once in a while. I feel like I’m taking a break but it’s because of gift stitching. What I really want is a break from the gift stitching!

  6. The squares are great, your stitching is fab! Looking forward to a quilty update!

  7. Michelle says:

Cute exchange block!! And I love the Mira – great idea to do some little blocks like that – I’m sure she’ll be thrilled with what you chose to stitch. Can’t wait for more updates on the Baltimore Halloween. Any idea where I can find some of that grid “paper” you’re using?

  8. Siobhan says:

Sometimes it’s nice to take a break and breathe in between stitches. Love the exchange block and the Mirabilia!

  9. Shelleen says:

You can still post what you are reading πŸ™‚

A very pretty RR to stitch on! I love your little squares!

  11. Sara says:

Yes, do post what you’re reading- how do you think I figure out what I want to read next? πŸ™‚ Love your little squares and I really like the idea of doing a non-fairy/lady/mermaid part of a Mirabilia on a RR. It turned out very nicely.

  12. Gabi says:

These little squares are looking great. The received squares are little beauties.
Looking SO forward to see more of your quilt.

  13. Marie says:

It’s just me πŸ™‚ …I am glad that you got such a nice replacement F&S block(s).

Deb’s RR is awesome, so very pretty. You did a nice job on the two blocks that you stitched, but that is to be expected.

I REALLY look forward to seeing your 2nd Halloween applique block!

    Great squares.

Note to self: Stalk Missy’s blog for pics of my RR after she’s stitched her part. πŸ˜‰

  15. Anne S says:

Great stitching – the RR is looking wonderful πŸ˜€ I’m almost tempted to do one of these just for myself, they look amazing all stitched up πŸ˜€
