Mail Day

Pretty much everything I was expecting this week came yesterday.

Two RRs, a fat quarter of Chapagne Cocktail, and two finishing books.

Oh the finishing I will do! Really nice book. I have directions for box finishing, but not one with drawers.

I’m in love with this green box. Both of these books are by Jackie Woolsey. The spiral bound book she’s a co-author. Worth the money. Together they cost me $35ish. And that was with separate shipping for each. They’re out of print and I had to buy them from resellers on Amazon.  I should have taken different pictures, there are other shapes beside square and rectangle. There are also trays and other great options in the books.

I’ve got two exchanges due this month so this is the last you’ll see of them until they arrive at their new homes.

Well that’s what’s going to pass for a blog post today. Talk amongst yourselves. Oh wait one more thing:

Maritime Needlebook

Does anyone know if the box comes with it? I doubt it at the $25 price. Love the mermaid, but the whale scissor sheath is killing me. And the beading details on the fob & whale… perfection.

Love those box books. I’m going to have to troll Amazon! I’ve found the best things on that site and for the best prices. I can’t wait to see one that you make! And isn’t it funny how we can wait for all the things we ordered and they all arrive on the same day!

Now that’s what I call a good mail day! 🙂

Ooh; what a great Haul! I love those types of mail days! Usually it’s just 3 or 4 comcast ads. How many “current residents” do they think we have here?!

Excellent mail day. What are you going to do with the Champagne Cocktail? Isn’t that the same fabric you used for Caribbean Mystery? So pretty. My guess on Elizabeth’s chart is that there are instructions for painting the box and making the whale scissor sheath and starfish fob…but that they are not included per se. They look like they’re made of Weeks wool, with beads. You could probably just make your own (unless you’re dying for the needlebook pattern itself). Just a thought!! Sooo cute though…I love the whale.

I *NEED* those books!! OMG! Amazon? Going now….

Oh, and I bet we could figure out the whale.

Wow! Great mail haul. I’ve never heard of those finishing books, I’ll have to look for them!

  9. Love, love, love books and stash and oh, such pretty things! Can you hear us all talking to (I mean amongst) ourselves!?

  10. Karen says:

Don’t you just love getting packages in the mail! I swear, it totally makes my day! ; ) Great stash!

Isn’t getting goodies in the mail just the best?? Enjoy your new treasures and the rest of your week!

I swear, really and truly, I thought of you when I saw the beads on that Maritime set. I haven’t had time to visit you in such a long time, but you were still in my mind. Is there something wrong with me? Besides the obvious things, of course.

  13. Missy, Those mail days are fun! Love that Maritime set. It’s a cinch for you, what are you talking about!? Actually, I’ll bet if the box isn’t included, you could whip up one like it, or even one better. The mermaid wouldn’t be that hard to copy on the top. Hugs, Deb
