Chatelaine Finish!

And I bet you’d all love to see it. But you are denied! (I know, evil = me) There’s still time for you to have a chance at getting your pristinely clean hands (because you’ve been busy stitching) on it. Just get your piece stitched and come June let Cheryl know you’re ready to go. I still have to do the finishing work, but it’s going to be awesome. So awesome I think I’m going to hurry up and stitch a second piece for the exchange & keep this one for myself. πŸ˜‰

What else… not much. Too much shopping and not enough stitching. I am working on the last MiraRR. I know the last one was supposed to be the last one. But Rachel had an extra block, a mermaid block. Of course I was on it like white on rice. I’m also going to finish up the misc missing beads from other blocks (I had all of the 8 different types of beads needed – seriously. My stash is MIGHTY.) because I’m crazy and like to bead.

I did do a bit of work on the oh so cute purple sewing set. But. (isn’t there always a but?) I’ve decided that the white fabric & craft store felts I’m using look cheap. Me being me… I’ve purchased two sets of options and I’m going to see which I like best. Right now I don’t know if I’m going to go ahead and finish what I’ve started (everyone at quilt group told me it doesn’t look cheap, very cute instead) and just give the set away (or maybe sell it, dunno). Scrap the whole thing, and give away the pincushion. Or just let it sit while I work on my not $2 hooker cheap set.

I’m also still thinking on ATS frogging, altering etc. Thanks for the suggestions, I’ve got a lot to think about.

In making progress news I’ve finished my second 28 Book Challenge for the year. Sadly it means nothing beyond I’ve read 56 books this year because I’ve been busy supporting my local independent bookstore and buying a bag or three full of books. Β Other reading news: go buy No Longer Mine by Shiloh Walker, she wrote a couple favs Β (Voyuer & Her Wildest Dreams) I’m pimping the book because 1. I really like Walker – I’ve read tons of her stuff. 2. By pimping, I get entered in a contest. So go buy her book, but don’t enter the contest and lower my chances. πŸ˜‰

P.S. What a lame ass post! No pictures. lol

No pictures, but good content. I don’t think I’ve heard a stash described as Mighty before–I love it!

It’s like a legion of beads ready to march at your command!

You like to bead, did I hear that correctly? How about giving me some tips? I am finishing up beading Shakespeares Fairys and it has to say the least not been fun. I think we all would like some tips on beading.

I dunno why I bother to read such lame ass posts like this. There aren’t even any pictures.

OMG I can’t wait to see your finish, Missy Ann! You are so mean to tease us like this…

Ok, I seriously zipped right over here after seeing the title of your post thinking somehow I’d fallen into a coma and during that time you’d finished Caribbean. Drat…no such luck. But congrats on finishing your exchange piece. Want to see what you’ve chosen to do!!!

Oh, I bet your Chatelaine is going to be stunning. You make it sound like it will be a snap to finish but if I remember correctly it will be a challenge too.
My sis bought #8 of BDB and called me to say she had it. I hope to get my hands on it this weekend. That means no housework for me.
Take care and stay busy – as if you don’t LOL
