2 months…

I’d like to say I’ve been busy. But unless being busy being lazy counts… As an apology for being away so long, few words many pictures.

Lizzie Kate Flip-Its complete through June. One day I’ll get a good picture of this. Threads as charted, fabric Bo Peep Pink lugana.

Christmas at Hawk Run Hollow, over 1 with NPI on 40ct. Tape measure so you can see just how small this works up.

Snow Queen’s Slipper. Stitched as charted, 2010 taken from Black Velvet sampler.

Matching scissor sheath. The scissors are from Dinky Dyes. There is a matching fob, I have it stitched, but still have to do the finishing. I do have a step by step photo tutorial on my Facebook account, message me if you need help in finishing. (note, you will need to buy the kit! my tutorial will only help you if you own the design)

Box I made for the Chatelaine smalls exchange. The top is from Medieval Town Mandala, the box itself is made from yellow silk dupioni (which is a match for the yellow silk in the roses, it didn’t photograph well).  Making Hand Sewn Boxes is where I found the directions for box making.

And this was what I received in exchange! It’s so much prettier in person. Stitched on Opal fabric for extra sparkle. Japanese Box is one of my favorite Chatelaine designs so this made me extra happy.

I’ve also been doing some reading (as always). My current favorite series is Downside Ghosts, the series starts with Unholy Ghosts and book 3 City of Ghosts is releasing on Tuesday. If  you like Urban Fantasy at all do yourself a favor and go buy these.

I have more photos (somewhere… need to sort things) and I have finished Mom’s quilt. I’m hoping to be back more often, but don’t count on it until school starts. And since we’re starting to get close… Yes, there will be a Halloween giveaway this year. So don’t quit on me when I don’t have much to show for the next 2 or 3 months. 😉

Only because I behaved myself like a good little exchange organizer you or Shell were not my partner. I KNEW it would be amazing.

Lovin’ the project progress, but totally feeling guilt that my Snow Queen Slipper is languishing stitched but unfinished on my table….

  9. Melissa says:

Did you enjoy making the box? It turned out beautiful. Wonderful projects, so you’ve been busy with more than being lazy, although this summer has lent itself very well to the whole “be lazy and don’t move from the air conditioning” frame of mind I find myself in a lot.

  10. doris says:

Darnit, your “question” got me again–It’s been so long that I’m out of practice, and of course my comment got tanked. It was mostly about That Shoe! Amazingly all-done and wonderful. Everything looks great; good to hear from you and looking forward to Hallowe’en. 😀

And, kudos to you for tackling CHRH over ONE on 40ct!! I think I might be tempted to stab my eyes out with my needle, lol. 🙂 I did 1/1 on 40ct on a teeny tiny little project… and I’m not sure I ever want to again! YGG!!

And the exchange piece you received in return – I would be thrilled too!! Glad to have you back!
