Proof positive that a good model can make good look great.
Ok, the picture is *much* better in person. This is a photo of a photo (my scanner & I… we do not speak). The cutie is Sara’s Joshua. And the quilt is talked about in this post (if you want details about it, Sara’s blog is for details about the model π ).
Along with the pictures of the quilt being beautifully modeled Sara also sent me some lovely goodies.
Athena! with silks, wisper, needles, and lovely thank you note.
And this gorgeous Matryoshka doll.
The picture taking is hit or miss Β this morning. But they are wonderful in person. The little one? she’s smaller than a thimble. They’re all nested up and living in the “good” cabinet behind glass now.
Other goodies arrived at my house this week.
The first kit in Jackie du Plessis’s Carried Away online class (class is full). This will get me started on the stitching. The kit is outstanding. Sorted, labeled, and her charts are detailed and clearly written. Exceptional. I wish I could show you how beautiful they are. Maybe once I start stitching, I’ll edit a snippet so you can get an idea of how well done they are.
A magnetic dish for pins, hand painted with my favorite daisies.
I’ve started making my yo-yos for Yoyoville. These are so much fun to make, I can make about 10 a hour. But I need 197. Which means… I’ll be making yo-yos for something like 20 hours.
And had to stop by the LNS for the new JCS ornie issue. My Lizzie Kate, Socks and Underwear arrived while I was there yay! And I picked up a few of the threads for it and would you look at that? Another Halloween chart followed me home.
I think socks and underwear are a great present; provided they’re “the good ones”. lol!
Lovely new stash! π
What a cutie with that quilt. Great stash pictures too. :o)
Wow, so many awesome things in your post today! The photo of Joshua with his quilt is so cute…you did a great job on that quilt! All of your stash looks beautiful, too…I really must order a copy of the JCS ornie issue. I thought I could resist but I can’t!
What wonderful things you received. I really love the magnetic dish. I look forward to seeing your progress in the class.
That model needs to go pro. But then, the quilt is fabulous. Great gifts, too!
I want that dish! Well, actually, one like it with a different flower or something. Boo hiss that the site owner is taking a break.
Glad to know that I’m not the only one who goes to the LNS and has things follow her home. I swear I don’t know how that happens. π
Such a cutie! *Love* the pin dish and the new stash π
Awesome stash! Best wishes making those yoyos. That looks like one of those I’d spend 3 hours on and never get back to it! Your colors are gorgeous, by the way.
Love, love, love that pin bowl!
Love the quilt! And what a cutie he is!
Fabulous stash enhancement, too!
Love those little dolls!! And the magnetic bowl is fantastic! I’ve never seen one of those before… looks like I may be searching etsy pretty soon. π
Have a great week!
Quite the nice haul there Missy! Enjoy all your treasures. π
Wish I could have signed up for Carried Away – glad you were able to! And all the goodies in this post are fabulous. What a great model you have there too!!
Wow, what great gifts!! That quilt is fantastic–as is the model. π
Great stash enhancement!
Yup, that certainly is a beautiful quilt! What a thoughtful gift and how nice of her to gift you with some great treasures. BTW: I want those nesting dolls! π
I look forward to seeing your online class project. Now get off line and start making YOYOS!!!!
