Today’s teaser pic:
And from the everybody’s a winner file… A Scissor Crypt Tutorial!
You will need:
Briwax (This stuff is expensive, go in with a friend if you can or make your husband buy it.) You will also need a paint can opener (or flat head screw driver) & a hammer to close it.
Medium-ish grit sanding sponge or sandpaper, but I like the sponge better.
Blue shop towels or a clean rag you are willing to toss in the trash when you’re done.
Latex or other disposal waterproof gloves.
Wooden coffin (Michaels has these for about $2 each)
Comic book board or Poster board or a cereal box
1/2″ Thick upholstery foam (Joann’s, Hanncock Fabrics etc stock this, don’t worry – it’s cheap this was just the only pic I could find)
Fat quarter (that’s 18″ x 22″) of fabric for the inside of the coffin. I prefer silk dupioni, but cotton will work just as well. Avoid very thin, slippery rayon type fabrics!
Gather up all your supplies, next Friday we start. The Friday after that you will finish. All the above links are my suggestion/picture example of what you should buy, use what you have on hand or substitute.
