Packages have been arriving left & right! I’m very happy that the only outstanding packages are Erica’s which just left and Sharon’s which is still on my coffee table. What this means to you is I can now talk in detail about just about everything.
Nicole, my very first winner this year.
No, not Ellen’s HOE – but just like it. If you were to go back and look you’d see Ellen got the ghost and Nicole got the pumpkin. But essentially they are identical. I really enjoyed making these and the finishing is not difficult, a touch fiddly and I did tweak a couple of the steps to a way I thought would work better. There are enough beads (except the big black eye beads) to stitch each design twice. And well, me being me. I sourced and purchased enough of the beads used in this project to stitch it 10 times over. If you do stitch these and need more beads get in touch with me I am willing to sell replacement bead packs for the Tricky Tweets.
This went to live with Dawn. The pattern on the fob is Frank N. Stein by Samsarah. I stitched it with a mix of called for threads and what I had on hand. Fabric is a scrap leftover from a Silkweaver solo that I stitched a Mirabilia on, cording was made to match, the fob is filled with crushed walnut shells and is sewn together with a whip stitch embellished with purple beads. The back side of the fob is just a big ol’ Halloween button I had laying around. The bat pin is embellished with a Swarovski purple glass pearl, counting pins are crystal stars.
I think that’s enough for today. Tuesday I’ll talk about a couple more received projects.
