Today’s Teaser – I’m bored, let’s do something different. You’re getting a Scissor Crypt. But! I’m going to add a needle minder (guess who underestimated the appeal?) And the extra super fun bonus? You get to pick which one you receive from the six choices below. Feel free to yell out your pick in the comments section, but if you win you can change your mind Wednesday – so don’t obsess ok?
Top row l to r: pretty cameo, single mermaid, butterfly
Bottom row l to r: kissing cupids, skeleton cameo, gossip of mermaids (yes a group of mermaids is a gossip, people smarter than me looked it up!)
Day 16’s prize for Kim:
The little witch is Sally Witch by Brooke’s Books from the JCS Halloween 2010 issue. I stitched her on silver perforated paper, but I only used two strands of DMC and I substituted #4 Krenik braids that I had on hand. Also I omitted the red swag on the bottom of her skit and gave her a silk ribbon (Dinky Dyes, from one of her awesome Oops Packs) bow at her throat in place of the Krenik bow.
She’s mounted on the background using double stick foam pads from the scrapbooking store. This raises her up from the fabric just a little to add more dimension. I also used about 15 dots on her, I will be shocked if she ever falls from the background.
The background is fabric laced around the back board that was included with the frame (5 x 7 shadow box purchases at Michaels). The fabric is a Japanese import, I loved it so much I bought a half yard (& I’m still thinking about how I want to use the rest of it for myself). You can see a better picture of the print HERE.
And of course the standard stuff: candy, needle minder, thread winder, and pins.
