Thanks everyone for all the nice words about the pincushion. BBD’s method can be found in the Tis Halloween booklet. And since I use their directions I don’t feel right about showing how I did it following their directions. But I will point you in the direction of a tutorial that uses an almost identical method with a cute vairation too. Doily Pincushion
I will share a couple copyright free tips. I trace one circle, then pin the pieces right sides together and cut them both out at once. I come up & down in the same hole top & bottom when I divide the pincushion. And the bits I stick down in the middle; I dip them into silicone adhesive (any hardware store) and them stick them into the hole that is there from the dividing stitches.
Other news, Jill Rensel has my Winter Rose in her possession. 😀 My exchange ornament has been mailed & so has a surprise. 😀 And the quilt shop called today, the Pirate Quilt is done and ready for pick up. I’ll go grab it after work tomorrow. And no, I don’t have the binding made yet.
I’m still thinking about the drunkard’s path layout. Ya’ll are pretty evenly divided. I do have my backing though : butterflies!
I also managed to finish this round of the MiraRR early! Go me. 😀
I stitched Angel of the New Dawn. Just a couple beads. 😉
So that’s it for now. I work tomorrow which means I won’t accomplish a single thing beyond going to the quilt shop. I take that back, I’ll probably go to the grocery store too.
